Revora Health

Care is delivered in episodes. Recovery is continuous.

Between any two appointments there is a stretch of days where recovery actually happens. Revora Health exists to keep patients and clinicians connected through that stretch. We are starting with outpatient physical therapy, working closely with the clinics who know this problem best.

The days between

Most of a plan of care happens at home, alone, on the days when no one is around to see it. When it stalls, the clinic usually finds out at a missed appointment, and by then the visits are spent and the progress is gone.

That is the problem we started on, and physical therapy is where we could see it most clearly. The clinics we work with live with it every week, and they tell us plainly when we get it wrong. Most of what the product does today came out of those conversations.

How we think

The gap is structural.

Care runs in episodes. The days between are where the plan is carried out, and nobody is failing when that stretch goes quiet.

Clinicians decide.

Clara answers between visits and brings the therapist in when it matters. The judgment stays with the person who knows the patient.

Signal, not surveillance.

We see what a patient chooses to share about their care. Not their day, not their location, not a live feed.

Why I work on this

I started out writing software at Amazon. A few years in, I left to do the next most natural thing, and I became a personal trainer. Over time, I noticed that more and more of my clients came to me having abandoned physical therapy but still had their injury. They’d abandoned their home exercises and lost trust in the process.

I became obsessed with that problem. I talked to hundreds of physical therapists, and they told me they were aware of the gap in care continuity but had no way to fix it. The gap was structural. Care is delivered in visits, and recovery happens in between them.

I’m so excited to build a world where patients receive the support they need and the providers on the other end can manage care easier than ever.
