Why I couldn’t leave it alone

The gap was structural. Care is delivered in visits, and recovery happens in between them.

I started out writing software at Amazon. A few years in, I left to do the next most natural thing, and I became a personal trainer. Over time, I noticed that more and more of my clients came to me having abandoned physical therapy but still had their injury. They’d abandoned their home exercises and lost trust in the process.

I became obsessed with that problem. I talked to hundreds of physical therapists, and they told me they were aware of the gap in care continuity but had no way to fix it. The gap was structural. Care is delivered in visits, and recovery happens in between them.

I’m so excited to build a world where patients receive the support they need and the providers on the other end can manage care easier than ever.

What we believe

When someone here needs a hand, they get one. That’s how a patient gets one on a hard night, too. We’re a team first, and being there for each other is how we learn to be there for clinics and their patients.
Trust is given for a reason. We earn it with clinics, with patients, and with each other. Then we earn it again tomorrow.
Most of what matters is the boring middle. We stay with the plan past the exciting part. We finish what we start, and we treat follow-through as the real skill.
The best ideas here came from asking a therapist one more question. We read widely, we go and see, and we ask why. We’d rather learn something than be right about it.
Small bets don’t fix a structural problem. We make the big call early and say it out loud. Then we ship it and own how it turns out.
Momentum is a kindness to everyone waiting on us. We ship, we learn, we fix things faster than they broke. Nobody gets blamed for a swing that missed.
